Having a dedicated team of psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers, Karwan-e-Hayat also seeks to raise public awareness about mental health and its related challenges.

Volunteer Opportunity: Become an Ambassador for Mental Health!

Karwan-e-Hayat is looking for young, energetic and creative volunteers with an interest in mental health to raise awareness about relevant issues in the field and about the work being done by Karwan-e-Hayat in this regard through campaigns and small events. 

Date: Beginning now

Timings9am – 2pm / Monday to Friday

Duration: 1-3 months

Precautions: The volunteer should be sensitive to the challenges faced by the patients he/she will be potentially be interacting with.

Additional Information: Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age. In addition, volunteers are expected to make their own transport arrangements for coming to the Karwan-e-Hayat office. Furthermore, Karwan-e-Hayat will provide a letter of appreciation to the volunteer following successful meeting of goals decided on between the volunteer(s) and organization.

Volunteer Opportunity: Coordinate Youth Ambassador Programme for Disability Awareness! OPPORTUNITY FILLED

NOWPDP is looking for a dedicated individual to co-ordinate for the Youth Ambassador programme as part of their School Outreach initiative across schools in Karachi.

Responsibilities:

  • Schools Engagement: Co-ordinate with participating schools administration
  • Youth Ambassador development: Work with students from participating schools to build on their skills and  building and coaching skills
  • Coordinating with Youth Ambassadors: Keep in contact with Youth Ambassadors ensuring that they are aware of their commitments and responsibilities
  • Reporting: Report to NOWPDP management on the progress of the project
